1. Title /Position:  Senior Auditor-Forestry

 

Summary of functions /responsibilities:

 

• Conduct validation/verification of forest carbon projects independently.

• Plan and organize the work effectively and conduct the work within the agreed time schedule.

• Conduct on-site visits and apply validation/verification procedures during this time;

• Follow internal and external applicable procedures while conducting the audits;

• Prepare and finalize the validation/verification reports

 

Required educational background:
 

• Degree or above in forestry or relevant discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification

 

Required work experience:

• At least 10 years professional work experience with 3+ years of auditing working experience in CDM/GS/VCS/GHG/FSC standards

• Participation in at least 5+ completed validation and verification projects under CDM/GS/VCS/GHG projects as a Team Leader

 

Required Knowledge and skills:

• Sufficient knowledge and expertise of AFOLU/REDD standards

• Validation and Verification requirements and guidelines

• Quantification of carbon stocks and change in carbon stocks in biomass of trees and shrubs, dead wood and litter, and soil organic carbon;

• GHG emissions attributable to the displacement (shift) of pre-project agricultural activities;

• Definition and identification of degraded and degrading lands in the context of project activities.

• Assess GHG information system thoroughly and evaluate consistency between GHG project plan and GHG project implementation

• Being Ethical / Open minded / Observant / Perceptive / versatile /tenacious / decisive / self-reliant;

 2. Title /Position:  Auditor/Trainee Auditor-Forestry

 

Summary of functions /responsibilities:

 

• Conduct validation/verification of forest carbon projects.

• Conduct on-site visits and apply validation/verification procedures during this time;

• Follow internal and external applicable procedures while conducting the audits;

• Prepare and finalize the validation/verification reports under a qualified Team Leader

 

Required educational background:

Required work experience:

• At least 2 years professional work experience

• Any auditing/consulting experience in CDM/GS/VCS/GHG standards is preferred

 

Required Knowledge and skills:

• Sufficient knowledge and expertise forestry sector

Summary of functions /responsibilities:

• Conduct validation/verification of Energy/Non-AFLOU sector projects independently.

• Plan and organize the work effectively and conduct the work within the agreed time schedule.

• Conduct on-site visits and apply validation/verification procedures during this time;

• Follow internal and external applicable procedures while conducting the audits;

• Prepare and finalize the validation/verification reports

 

Required educational background:

• Degree or above in Engineering or Science discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification

 

Required work experience:

• At least 10 years professional work experience with 3+ years of auditing working experience in CDM/GS/VCS/GHG standards

• Participation in at least 5+ completed validation and verification projects under CDM/GS/VCS/GHG projects as a Team Leader

 

Required Knowledge and skills:

• Sufficient knowledge and expertise of GHG mechanisms like CDM/GS/VCS

• Validation and Verification requirements and guidelines

• Methods for the evaluation of mass and energy flows in demand-side energy use, such as direct monitoring, mass and energy balances, energy use factors and energy efficiency factors and emission factors

• Characteristics of renewable electrical power plants, such as installed capacity, load factor, intermittency of operation, auxiliary fuel use and GHG emissions (e.g. GHG emissions from hydropower plant reservoirs, geothermal reservoirs, etc.);

• Assess GHG information system thoroughly and evaluate consistency between GHG project plan and GHG project implementation

• Being Ethical / Open minded / Observant / Perceptive / versatile /tenacious / decisive / self-reliant;

• Communication skills

5. Name of the Post: GIS Expert 

Job Responsibilities

- Perform quality assurance check on GIS data to ensure accuracy and completeness

Required Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Botany/Geography/Geo-informatics or relevant subject with certificate/diploma
in Remote Sensing & GIS or Geo-informatics
OR
- M.Tech/M.Sc. in Remote sensing & GIS /Geo-informatics or Environmental Science/ Forestry with GIS experience
Desirable Qualifications
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, Google Earth Engine or other industry standard applications
- Familiarities with spatial data formats (e.g. Shape files, GeoJSON, KML. Geodatabase) and coordinate system
- Knowledge of geospatial analysis, image processing techniques, data collection, geospatial modelling, LULC analysis etc.
- Prior experience in a GIS related role
